Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guillaume Seignac could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Cupid and Psyche changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,624.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guillaume Seignac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French l'Abandon, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 157,250.00 (€ 191,230.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guillaume Seignac konnte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Cupid and Psyche für USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.624,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guillaume Seignac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French l'Abandon beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 157.250,00 (€ 191.230,64) versteigert wurde.
