Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A dune landscape by Guillaume Dubois was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 938.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillaume Dubois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A dune landscape with travellers, shepherds and cattle on a path, a church tower beyond in May 2003 with an auction result of EUR 27,485.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A dune landscape von Guillaume Dubois im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 938,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillaume Dubois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A dune landscape with travellers, shepherds and cattle on a path, a church tower beyond im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.485,00.
