Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work A dune landscape with peasants, cattle and a cart of hay on a path by Guillaume Dubois. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guillaume Dubois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A dune landscape with travellers, shepherds and cattle on a path, a church tower beyond in May 2003 with an auction result of EUR 27,485.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A dune landscape with peasants, cattle and a cart of hay on a path von Guillaume Dubois zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guillaume Dubois auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A dune landscape with travellers, shepherds and cattle on a path, a church tower beyond im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.485,00.
