This artwork by Guillaume Dubois achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2007. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work An extensive landscape with huntsmen resting on a path, a town beyond sold for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,354.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guillaume Dubois; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A dune landscape with travellers, shepherds and cattle on a path, a church tower beyond sold at auction in May 2003 with the realized price of EUR 27,485.00.
