Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Guido Argentini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2014. In the Triple XXX: Photographs from the Collection of Don Sanders auction, the work 'Women's Reflections', 2008 sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,797.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guido Argentini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Where Duality Begins sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of EUR 23,550.00.
