Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Essence to Be Discovered by Guido Argentini was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 165.75 (€ 166.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guido Argentini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Where Duality Begins in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 23,550.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Essence to Be Discovered von Guido Argentini im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 165,75 (€ 166,85) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guido Argentini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Where Duality Begins im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.550,00.
