Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Red Lips, Red Nails and Olga Sucking Her Thumb, 2005 by Guido Argentini was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,939.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guido Argentini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Where Duality Begins, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 23,550.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Red Lips, Red Nails and Olga Sucking Her Thumb, 2005 von Guido Argentini im September 2014 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.939,18) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Guido Argentini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Where Duality Begins beobachtet, die im November 2012 für EUR 23.550,00 versteigert wurde.
