Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings, which included the work Bamboo by Gui Changshi. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,876.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gui Changshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five-Character Poems In Cursive Script in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 45,035.28).
