The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,476.18), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guglielmo Zocchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Centre Of Attention, which sold at auction in September 2013 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,872.00).

Die Arbeit The Morning Meal von Guglielmo Zocchi wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.476,18) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Guglielmo Zocchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Centre Of Attention beobachtet, die im September 2013 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.872,00) versteigert wurde.
