In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Italian a Box Of Letters Fondly Kept by Guglielmo Zocchi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,701.17), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guglielmo Zocchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Centre Of Attention, which sold at auction in September 2013 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,872.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian a Box Of Letters Fondly Kept von Guglielmo Zocchi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.701,17) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Guglielmo Zocchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Centre Of Attention beobachtet, die im September 2013 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.872,00) versteigert wurde.
