This artwork by Gu Linshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Mountains In Spring Breeze sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 72,542.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 360,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gu Linshi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 129,056.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Linshi erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Mountains In Spring Breeze für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 72.542,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 360.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gu Linshi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 129.056,94).
