This artwork by Gu Linshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Studio in the Forest sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,627.85) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gu Linshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 129,056.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Linshi erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Studio in the Forest für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.627,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Linshi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 129.056,94).
