This artwork by Gu Linshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Returning Oars at a River Village, after Wu Zhen, 1916 sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,827.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Linshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 129,056.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Linshi erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Returning Oars at a River Village, after Wu Zhen, 1916 für USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.827,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gu Linshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 129.056,94).
