This artwork by Gu Heqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Ferry On River sold for HKD 100,300.00 (€ 11,380.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 42,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gu Heqing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Landscape in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Heqing erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Ferry On River für HKD 100.300,00 (€ 11.380,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 42.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Heqing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Landscape im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95).
