Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio, which included the work Appreciating Waterfall Amid Mountains by Gu Heqing. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,491.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Heqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio durch, in der auch die Arbeit Appreciating Waterfall Amid Mountains von Gu Heqing zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.491,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Heqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95) versteigert wurde.
