Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Script by Gu Heqing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,327.43), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Heqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Landscape in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Script von Gu Heqing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.327,43) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gu Heqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Landscape im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95).
