Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Seeing Out Of The BoxConceptual Photographs Online, which included the work Untitled (Golf store) by Grant Mudford. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,083.75 (€ 924.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Grant Mudford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,740.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Seeing Out Of The BoxConceptual Photographs Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Golf store) von Grant Mudford zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.083,75 (€ 924,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grant Mudford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.740,49).
