Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Grant Mudford could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Los Angeles, c. 1979 changed hands for USD 720.00 (€ 567.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grant Mudford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,740.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Grant Mudford konnte im September 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Los Angeles, c. 1979 für USD 720,00 (€ 567,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grant Mudford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.740,49).
