Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2010 Phillips in London held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, which included the work Friday Night, Backroom 4, The Commercial, South Bank, Middlesbrough by Graham Smith. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,636.19). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Below The Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne', 1976, which sold at auction in May 2017 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,742.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in London die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Friday Night, Backroom 4, The Commercial, South Bank, Middlesbrough von Graham Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.636,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Graham Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Below The Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne', 1976 beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.742,70) versteigert wurde.
