Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Who She Wanted And What She Got, South Bank, Middlesbrough', 1982 by Graham Smith for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,445.62). This price was achieved in the auction The Discerning Eye: Property from the Collection of Eric Franck, Part I at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Graham Smith have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2017 by the work 'Below The Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne', 1976 at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,742.70).
