Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A collection of four prints, 1970-1972, comprising We beg your acceptance of this elegant thimble, Lorraine, The Meeting and The Brigitte Doll, two signed and dated in pencil and inscribed A/P by Graham Ovenden was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 150.00 – 250.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hand Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Graham Ovenden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Picnic in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,073.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A collection of four prints, 1970-1972, comprising We beg your acceptance of this elegant thimble, Lorraine, The Meeting and The Brigitte Doll, two signed and dated in pencil and inscribed A/P von Graham Ovenden im November 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
