Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Girl by Graham Ovenden. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,766.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Graham Ovenden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Picnic in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,073.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl von Graham Ovenden zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.766,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Graham Ovenden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Picnic im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.073,79).
