Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Romans Do by Graham Clarke for GBP 180.00 (€ 263.83). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Graham Clarke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A collection of four woodcuts in colours comprising Hay Field Timberden, Timberden, Lane to Filsdon and Hill at Woodlands (illustrated), on wove paper, each signed, titled and inscribed (proof) in pencil, with margins, apparently in good condition, unexam in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,3
