Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nuestra Señora de las Iguanas (Our Lady of the Iguanas), Juchitán, Oaxaca by Graciela Iturbide was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,028.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Graciela Iturbide have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mujer ángel, Desierto de Sonora, México (Angel Woman, Sonora Desert, Mexico) in June 2019 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,697.55).

Die Arbeit Nuestra Señora de las Iguanas (Our Lady of the Iguanas), Juchitán, Oaxaca von Graciela Iturbide wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.028,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Graciela Iturbide auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mujer ángel, Desierto de Sonora, México (Angel Woman, Sonora Desert, Mexico) im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.697,55).
