This artwork by Grace Robertson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2019. In the Made in Britain auction, the work On The Caterpillar, Women'S Pub Outing, Clapham, London, 1956 sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,833.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Grace Robertson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Frustration, Petticoat Lane, London, 1948 sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,765.11).
