This artwork by Gottfrid Kallstenius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2019. In the Important Spring Sale auction, the work View over Stockholm from Beckholmen sold for SEK 105,000.00 (€ 9,997.35) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gottfrid Kallstenius; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France sold at auction in June 2019 with the realized price of SEK 130,000.00 (€ 12,377.67).
