Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Forest Torrent. by Gottfrid Kallstenius was auctioned at Bukowski in Helsinki in May 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,300.00 – 1,600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gottfrid Kallstenius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France in June 2019 with an auction result of SEK 130,000.00 (€ 12,377.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Forest Torrent. von Gottfrid Kallstenius im Mai 2011 bei Bukowski in Helsinki versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.300,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.100,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gottfrid Kallstenius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 130.000,00 (€ 12.377,67).
