Auction result well in line with expectations
The work International Institute of Intellectual Co-operation by Goshka Macuga was sold in the The Hoarder: Part III auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,607.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Goshka Macuga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madame Blavatsky in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,453.13).
