In June 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Emerging Man, Harlem, New York (from Invisible Man), 1952 by Gordon Parks. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,146.83), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gordon Parks; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot American Gothic, Washington D.C. sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of USD 21,420.00 (€ 21,562.31).

Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Emerging Man, Harlem, New York (from Invisible Man), 1952 von Gordon Parks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.146,83) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gordon Parks; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit American Gothic, Washington D.C. im Oktober letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 21.562,31).
