It achieved a price of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,968.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Parks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Gothic, Washington D.C., which sold at auction in October last year for USD 21,420.00 (€ 21,562.31).

Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Parks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit American Gothic, Washington D.C. beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für USD 21.420,00 (€ 21.562,31) versteigert wurde.
