This artwork by Gordon Coutts achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work Three Women in a Glade sold for USD 2,295.00 (€ 2,164.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 900.00. Admittedly, works by Gordon Coutts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On Homeward Trail in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 12,575.00 (€ 11,226.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gordon Coutts erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wurde die Arbeit Three Women in a Glade für USD 2.295,00 (€ 2.164,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon Coutts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On Homeward Trail im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.575,00 (€ 11.226,68).
