Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mission San Juan Capistrano by Gordon Coutts was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The price achieved of USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Coutts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On Homeward Trail, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 12,575.00 (€ 11,226.68).
