Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mission San Luis Rey by Gordon Coutts was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,542.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Coutts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On Homeward Trail, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 12,575.00 (€ 11,226.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mission San Luis Rey von Gordon Coutts kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.542,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Coutts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On Homeward Trail beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 12.575,00 (€ 11.226,68) versteigert wurde.
