Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Landscape) by Gopal Ghose was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,029.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gopal Ghose - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Forest Scenes), which sold at auction in December 2016 for INR 437,500.00 (€ 6,094.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) von Gopal Ghose kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.029,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gopal Ghose mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Forest Scenes) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für INR 437.500,00 (€ 6.094,82) versteigert wurde.
