Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gopal Ghose could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Leonard Elmhirst changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 556.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gopal Ghose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Forest Scenes) in December 2016 with an auction result of INR 437,500.00 (€ 6,094.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gopal Ghose konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Leonard Elmhirst für USD 625,00 (€ 556,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gopal Ghose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Forest Scenes) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 437.500,00 (€ 6.094,82).
