Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Una Familia by Gonzalo Cienfuegos. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,127.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gonzalo Cienfuegos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sin título, which sold at auction in June 2000 for USD 44,650.00 (€ 46,778.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Una Familia von Gonzalo Cienfuegos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.127,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Cienfuegos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sin título beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für USD 44.650,00 (€ 46.778,42) versteigert wurde.
