Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Breakfast by Gonzalo Cienfuegos was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,781.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gonzalo Cienfuegos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sin título, which sold at auction in June 2000 for USD 44,650.00 (€ 46,778.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Breakfast von Gonzalo Cienfuegos wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.781,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Cienfuegos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sin título beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für USD 44.650,00 (€ 46.778,42) versteigert wurde.
