Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain, which included the work Sans titre, 2017 by Oluwole Omofemi. The price achieved of EUR 35,655.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oluwole Omofemi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Invader in March last year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 170,377.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre, 2017 von Oluwole Omofemi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 35.655,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oluwole Omofemi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Invader im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 170.377,72).
