Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Two Figures in a Boat Along a Harbor 16 x 20 in. framed 23 x 27 in. by Glenn Dean. The price achieved of USD 701.25 (€ 655.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Figures in a Boat Along a Harbor 16 x 20 in. framed 23 x 27 in. von Glenn Dean zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 655,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glenn Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06).
