Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Glenn Dean could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Mesa and Clouds 11 x 14 in. framed 14 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 828.75 (€ 774.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Glenn Dean konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Mesa and Clouds 11 x 14 in. framed 14 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. für USD 828,75 (€ 774,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glenn Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06).
