Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Clouds over the Mesa 8 x 10 in. framed 12 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. by Glenn Dean for USD 701.25 (€ 655.50). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Clouds over the Mesa 8 x 10 in. framed 12 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. von Glenn Dean für USD 701,25 (€ 655,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glenn Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06).
