Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riders of the Vermillion Cliffs, Utah 20 x 24 in. framed 28 x 32 in. by Glenn Dean was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,940.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Glenn Dean - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in., which sold at auction in November last year for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Riders of the Vermillion Cliffs, Utah 20 x 24 in. framed 28 x 32 in. von Glenn Dean kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.940,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Glenn Dean mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06) versteigert wurde.
