Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Billowy clouds late in the day by Glenn Dean. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,786.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Glenn Dean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Billowy clouds late in the day von Glenn Dean zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.786,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Glenn Dean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06).
