Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman, which included the work Afternoon Gathering 30 x 36 in. 38 x 43 in. by Glenn Dean. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,928.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Glenn Dean - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in., which sold at auction in November last year for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon Gathering 30 x 36 in. 38 x 43 in. von Glenn Dean zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.928,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Glenn Dean mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Passing Shadows 40 x 50 in. framed 50 x 60 in. beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06) versteigert wurde.
