Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Donna Con Mazzo Di Fiori by Giuseppe Migneco was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in May 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,750.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Migneco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La pescatrice in May 2000 with an auction result of ITL 42,300,000.00 (€ 36,277.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Donna Con Mazzo Di Fiori von Giuseppe Migneco im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Migneco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La pescatrice im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 42.300.000,00 (€ 36.277,87).
