This artwork by Giuseppe Magni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2005. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Tending the Baby sold for USD 26,400.00 (€ 22,009.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giuseppe Magni; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Happy Family sold at auction in January 2016 with the realized price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,462.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Magni erzielte im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Tending the Baby für USD 26.400,00 (€ 22.009,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Magni; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Happy Family im Januar 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.462,70).
