Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Giuseppe Gallo was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 16,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Gallo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 367,500.00 (€ 347,419.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Giuseppe Gallo wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 16.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Gallo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 367.500,00 (€ 347.419,17).
