Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Zingara (The Gypsy) by Giuseppe Gallo was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 35,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Gallo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 367,500.00 (€ 347,419.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Zingara (The Gypsy) von Giuseppe Gallo wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 35.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Gallo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 367.500,00 (€ 347.419,17).
