Upper estimate price exceeded by 67 %.
In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School, which included the work A study of a nude man, running towards the left by Giuseppe Cesari. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,704.43), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Cesari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An angel in flight in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 834,000.00 (€ 721,952.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School durch, in der auch die Arbeit A study of a nude man, running towards the left von Giuseppe Cesari zur Versteigerung kam.
