Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bay of Naples with a distant view of Vesuvius unframed by Giuseppe Carelli was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,497.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Carelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vedute Della Costiera Amalfitana in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 15,000.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.497,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Carelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vedute Della Costiera Amalfitana im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.000,00.
